Someone from our research team will contact you and ask you questions about your medical history and any drugs you are now taking. If you meet the study’s eligibility requirements and want to join, you will be treated by qualified healthcare professionals such as Cardiologists and nurses.

About the Hypertension Study

Approximately 800 men and women of age 18 to 75 years, who have been diagnosed with Hypertension and are taking the standard hypertension treatments can take part in this 1-2 year study. This High Blood Pressure Clinical Trials will be conducted in 85 different clinical sites worldwide.

This is a double-blind study to check the efficacy of an oral drug when used in combination with other standard oral antihypertensives available in the market. If you decide to participate, you will go through 4 different phases:

  • The first phase is the “screening phase” in which multiple health-related questions and tests will be performed to confirm your eligibility.
  • Second would be the “run-in phase”, in this phase you will be asked to use standard oral antihypertensive for 4-6 weeks.
  • Third phase, which will last for almost 6 months, is the “double-blind treatment phase”. During this phase, you will either be provided with the drug being tested or a placebo (drug look-alike with no active ingredient). This phase will be double-blinded which means that neither the study doctor nor you will know if you are getting the drug or placebo.
  • The fourth and last phase would either be the “open-ended treatment phase” (in this phase you will be given the study drug for an additional 12 months) or the “follow-up phase” if you do not agree to take part in the open-ended treatment phase.

*Participating in the Hypertension Clinical Trials does not cost you anything. Instead, it compensates for the time and travel of those eligible. No insurance is required to volunteer in any of our Cardiology Clinical Trials.

About Hypertension

A greater than normal blood pressure is termed as Hypertension. Blood pressure is expressed as a two-digit figure. When the heart contracts or beats, the first number (systolic) shows the pressure in blood vessels. The second number (diastolic) indicates the pressure in the vessels while the heart is at rest between beats.

Hypertension is diagnosed when the systolic blood pressure measurements on two distinct days are ≥140 mmHg and/or the diastolic blood pressure readings on both days are ≥ 90 mmHg. Hypertension affects 30 to 45 percent of individuals and is the most preventable risk factor for cardiovascular disease, including strokes and heart attacks.

What to Expect?

Hypertension is a common condition caused by High Blood Pressure. It is termed as a silent killer. Most people having Hypertension are unaware of this condition since it may not have any warning signs and symptoms. At Prime Revival Research Institute, we are now conducting Hypertension Clinical Trials. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with this ailment, please contact us by filling out the form above. After you complete this form, a member of our research team will contact you to help you and ask you some questions to see if you are a good fit for the study.

If you meet the study’s eligibility requirements, you may be invited to the clinic for screening. The Informed Consent Form is the first step in your registration (ICF). It contains all of the information regarding that specific study, such as the number of visits, the duration of the study, and the rewards that you may receive by participating in the study. After signing the ICF, you will be asked several study-related questions and a physical examination will be performed by healthcare experts such as physicians and nurses. You may be requested to collect blood for various blood tests as part of your health monitoring. All study-related care will be provided at no cost.
